SHOULD I SWITCH FROM IELTS TO PTE?

“I was unable to get my desired band even after three attempts of IELTS.”

This is quite a common statement, we tend to listen on regular basis.

Some students struggle with their IELTS exam but we believe with right guidance and daily practice, IELTS can be cracked in first attempt.

If you are among those who have lost their confidence in IELTS and planning to switch to PTE, we suggest you to talk to your instructor first and figure out your weak areas before drawing any conclusion.

And if you think you have made this decision of taking PTE exam, then go ahead.

You might be aware Pearson Test of English (PTE) is accepted in many countries and visa applications but have few limitations. For example:  PTE is not yet approved for Canadian Immigration.

Therefore, before switching to PTE check from your respective institute regarding its status.

Initially, you might find PTE easier as compared to IELTS, some of the questions might give you a tough time but with proper guidance you can ace them easily.  

Before appearing in PTE, make sure you are fully aware of the technical essence of this exam as it is completely computer based, even the speaking, and marked by a machine.

You might have heard few students, mentioning PTE is more difficult than IELTS, who tried to shift, it is because a person who has spent a considerable amount of time in preparation of a particular pattern finds it hard to practice exactly the opposite. Yes, PTE is entirely different from IELTS though it tests the same 4 skills as IELTS: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. Whatever you choose, make sure you are fully prepared to save your time, energy and money.
